Punta Laguna began over 70 years ago as a chiclero camp, where locals collected resin to make chewing gum. However, after years of effort, this place transformed into a protected area for wildlife, including spider and howler monkeys, as well as various mammal species.
An hour from Tulum, within the jungle, we'll find this natural area where we can explore in search of the monkey families that inhabit the site. After the hike and learning about the primates, we'll be ready for adventure and enjoy the lagoon, where we'll fly over it with the help of a zipline before paddling back in canoes.
After enjoying the reserve, we'll visit one of the most beautiful cenotes in the area, where we'll marvel at its emerald-colored water and perhaps even attempt a 5-meter jump.
Clearly, all this activity will leave us hungry, and the best way to satisfy our cravings is by dining at a Mayan home that opens its doors to us to enjoy regional dishes prepared by the host family.
Don't hesitate any longer and come discover all that the Riviera Maya has to offer you.
